Baba Ramdev on Friday submitted an undertaking before the Delhi High Court, pledging not to make or circulate any further disparaging remarks on social media, including comments similar to his controversial “Sharbat Jihad” statement targeting Hamdard’s Rooh Afza.

Baba Ramdev, the controversial yoga guru and businessman, is facing legal challenges in Kerala, where 26 cases have been filed against him in various courts across the state over misleading advertisements for Patanjali Ayurved’s products.

The Managing Director of Patanjali Ayurved Ltd, Acharya Balkrishna, has tendered an unqualified apology before the Supreme Court for publishing misleading advertisements regarding medicinal cures in breach of an undertaking given to the Court, Live Law reported.
The Supreme Court on Tuesday directed self-styled yoga guru and businessman Baba Ramdev to be personally present before the top court after he failed to file a reply to a show cause notice in the contempt proceedings initiated against Patanjali Ayurved for its misleading advertisements.
