“India: The Modi Question,” the BBC documentary critical of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Hindu nationalist politics is all set to be screened at the Australian Parliament House in Canberra.
The Enforcement Directorate on Thursday registered a case against BBC India for alleged foreign exchange violation, weeks after BBC released a documentary on Gujarat genocide “India: The Modi Question,” which was critical of then Gujarat CM Narendra Modi's role.
On Thursday, a letter was sent to Delhi University Chancellor Yogesh Singh by a group of 59 academicians, urging the revocation of the punishment given to the students who took part in the screening of the BBC documentary critical of PM Narendra Modi.
Several students protesting against the debarment of two students over the screening of the BBC documentary critical of PM Modi were manhandled by the police and university security inside the Delhi University's Arts Faculty on Friday.
