The Supreme Court on Tuesday dismissed the special petition filed by the Delhi Police challenging the bail granted by the Delhi High Court to student activists Devangana Kalita, Natasha Narwal and Asif Iqbal Tanha in the Delhi program UAPA case.

More than 48 hours after Delhi High Court bail order, Karkadoma Special Court on Thursday issued warrants for release of student activists Natasha Narwal, Devangana Kalita and Asif Iqbal Tanha from Tihar jail in the Delhi violence conspiracy case pursuant to the bail granted to them by the Delhi High Court on June 15.
The Delhi High Court on Tuesday, in three separate orders, while granting bail to the student leaders Devangana Kalita, Natasha Narwal and Asif Iqbal Tanha, said that after reading the Delhi Police chargesheet and the material filed alongwith it by the prosecution, it prima facie found the allegations made against them “are not even borne out” from the material on which they are based.
