The Supreme Court of India on Monday allowed the withdrawal of a petition seeking the ban of political parties which use names and symbols with religious connotations.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday granted bail to Jitendra Narayan Tyagi, one of the accused in the Haridwar genocidal event case, on medical grounds for three months.
Jitendra Narayan Tyagi alias Wasim Rizvi was arrested by the Uttarakhand Police on Thursday in connection with the three-day-long Hindu Parliament organised in Haridwar in December 2021 where genocidal calls against Muslims delivered.
