The Janata Dal (Secular) [JD(S)] is facing an internal crisis as H.D. Kumaraswamy joins the third Narendra Modi cabinet as Heavy Industries Minister. The Kerala faction, which is part of the ruling left front and opposes the BJP alliance in Karnataka, is considering forming a new party or merging with another Janata Party.
Kerala Assembly’s budget session began on a stormy note on Friday with the Opposition Congress-led UDF raising "RSS Governor go back" slogans against Governor Arif Mohammed Khan who came to the Assembly to deliver the opening address to mark the start of the budget session.
"We hoped for an order that recognises and includes Muslim women. Since the government order was not positive, we will go to court,” Riza Nahan said to Maktoob.
