West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday accused that the recent violence in Murshidabad following the protests against the Waqf (Amendment) Act was a “pre-planned” operation, orchestrated by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), some central agencies, and certain factions within the Border Security Force.
During the ‘Navkar Mahamantra Divas’ program, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said the Waqf (Amendment) Act will not be implemented in the state and assured that she will protect the rights of minority people and their property.
