I was born a Hindu woman, and I have never seen a saffron scarf in my home in all these years. My own father was a full-time RSS Pracharak who quit the organisation because of its Manuvadi caste-supremacy, because of its hatred of minorities, and because of its hatred of regional languages. I write to you because I have seen before my eyes that even the most brainwashed Sanghi person has the opportunity to leave the hatred behind. You can become a new person, you can become a better individual. You can say no to the politics of hate. 

As many colleges in Karnataka have started denying entry to Muslim students wearing the hijab, Leader of Opposition Siddaramaiah has come out in support of the Muslim students’ rights.

Days after Government PU College in Udupi stopped female Muslim students from attending classes on the ground that they wear a hijab, a writ petition has been filed in the Karnataka High Court by a Muslim girl student, seeking a declaration that wearing a hijab is a Fundamental Right guaranteed under Article 14 and 25 of the Constitution of India and is an essential practise of Islam.

"We hoped for an order that recognises and includes Muslim women. Since the government order was not positive, we will go to court,” Riza Nahan said to Maktoob.

Three people have been arrested by Mumbai Police during their ongoing investigation into abusive discussions on audio chat app Clubhouse.

The Mumbai Police have made their fourth arrest in connection with the Bulli Bai app that was used by right-wing Hindus to 'auction' Muslim women.
