Najmal had earlier said he wanted his body to be cremated as per Muslim customs at the Cheraman Juma Masjid, Kodungallur and it was written by him in a handwritten letter. However, his final wish was not fulfilled as his family members decided and supported the move to cremate his body in a ploy. 

UDA formed in 2013 and led by the Ambedkar Students’ Association (ASA), has joined with the Bahujan Students’ Front (BSF), the Dalit Students’ Union (DSU), the Muslim Students’ Federation (MSF), the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI), the Students’ Islamic Organization of India (SIO) and the Tribal Students’ Federation (TSF).

Muslim Students Federation (MSF), the student wing of Indian Union Muslim League and Students Islamic Organisation (SIO), the student body of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind appealed the student community to support, vote and elect Birsa Ambedkar Phule Students Association (BAPSA)  candidates in the Jawaharlal Nehru University Students Union election 2018-19.

The CBI said that out of the nine phones belonging to the accused ABVP , three could not be examined by its forensic laboratory (CFSL) in Chandigarh, since two were in damaged condition and the third had a ‘pattern lock’ which could not be unlocked. What a ridiculous excuse this is: the Central Bureau of Investigation is unable to ‘unlock’ the phone of an ABVP student in JNU???!!!

The politics of false equivalencies will kill us, will leave us even more at the mercy of this violent nation-state than ever before.
