we on behalf of the community at large, make it clear that the 5 acre land, as directed in the present judgement, will neither balance equity nor repair the damage caused in the country. Accordingly. on behalf of the Muslim community, we decline to accept the said 5 acres of land to be allotted in terms of judgement dated 09/ 11/2019.
When I walked into Supreme Court on 9thNovember 2019, as a young Muslim lawyer to witness the judgment of Ramjanmbhoomi-Babri Masjid Case, I very well knew that the judgement would be in favour of Hindu parties, but the factor that shocked me was the absence of a dissenting opinion in the judgment.
A five-judge constitution bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi held that the office of the chief justice of India (CJI) should be under the ambit of the Right to Information (RTI) Act as it is a public office.
This verdict has now shattered this faith on SC. Let's hope that due justice would be rendered in the review petition to be filed. Let's stay calm and wait without falling prey into any provocation, to safeguard religious and social harmony.
