Ahead of the UN Security Council vote on the arms embargo’s renewal later this month, Amnesty International on Wednesday urged the Security Council to renew and enforce the embargo, condemning the deployment of Ugandan soldiers and military equipment to South Sudan since 11 March 2025, calling it a blatant violation of the embargo.
