Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said secularism is the biggest threat to India’s tradition getting recognition on the global stage.
Accusing the Uttar Pradesh police officials of trying to cover up the matter, relatives of two Dalit girls, who were found dead at a field in Asoha village of Unnao, demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the matter, as police said a preliminary autopsy found no injuries on the victims and didn’t mention sexual assault.
According to PTI report, the arrestees include Uwaish Ahmad in Bareilly, Nadeem and his friend in Muzaffarnagar, two brothers Rashid and Salim in Moradabad, Shadab Khan in Mau, five Muslim youths in Sitapur, Afzal in Bijnor and Mohammed Azad in Hardoi.
Samajwadi Party chief and former Uttar Pradesh CM Akhilesh Yadav took a dig at Yogi Adityanath government and said it has been exposed in the Hathras rape-murder case and it will also face the same treatment in the false cases against SP leader and parliamentarian Azam Khan.
