9 Indians among 10 killed in Maldives fire

At least 10 people, including nine Indians, were reportedly killed in a massive fire that broke out in a garage in Male, the capital city of Maldives. Reports suggest all are migrant workers.

Officials said 10 bodies were recovered from the upper floor of a building destroyed in the fire, which originated from a ground-floor vehicle repair garage. A security official said the dead included nine Indians and a Bangladesh national.

A fire department official said that it took four hours to put out the blaze, AFP reported.
