Manchester United welcomes Cristiano Ronaldo

Manchester United on Friday evening confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo will make a sensational return to Old Trafford after they reached an agreement with his club Juventus. Ronaldo is expected to sign a two-year deal subject to being granted a visa and passing a medical.

United agreed to pay an initial €2omillion to the Italian club plus up to €3million in bonuses.

Cristiano, a five-time Ballon d’Or winner, has so far won over 30 major trophies during his career, including five UEFA Champions League titles, four FIFA Club World Cups, seven league titles in England, Spain and Italy, and the European Championship for his native Portugal.

In his first spell for red devils, he scored 118 goals in 292 games in the legendary number 7 shirt. with the 36-year-old striker is one of the favourite of Manchester United before leaving for Real Madrid in 2009 for Real Madrid.

“Manchester United is delighted to confirm that the club has reached agreement with Juventus for the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo, subject to agreement of personal terms, visa and medical,” reads the official statement from Manchester United.

There has been rumours about Manchester City Football Club in talk with Ronaldo’s agent.

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri had already confirmed that Ronaldo wanted to leave the club before the transfer window deadline on Aug. 31.
