Israeli forces have shot dead Al Jazeera correspondent Shireen Abu Akleh during an army operation in Jenin, northern West Bank city.
Palestine’s Ministry of Health said Abu Aqleh was hit by a live bullet in the head and rushed to the hospital in critical condition until she was declared dead.
From 2000 up until now, Israel has killed about 50 Palestinian journalists.
Another reporter, Ali Samoudi, was also shot by a live bullet in the back, said the ministry. He was reported in stable condition, reports Wafa News Agency.
