“Netanyahu steals world’s joy for new year,” says Palestine

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Palestine said the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu chooses “the extermination of Palestinians over recognising their state.”

“Netanyahu steals the world’s joy for the new year, choosing the extermination of Palestinians over recognizing their state,” read the post by the ministry.

The post it circulated on X showed a New Year’s Eve-like countdown of footage of children in distress, houses being bombed, a funeral of a journalist, people being displaced and a shrouded dead baby, ending with the words: “Gaza under attack. Stop fire now.”

At least 100 people killed, 286 wounded in Israeli attacks on homes in central Gaza in the past 24 hours, health ministry said.

At least 21,672 Palestinians killed and 56,165 injured in the Israel’s ongoing genocidal war on Gaza.
