Social Democratic Party of India has alleged that the Madhya Pradesh BJP government’s imposing draconian National Security Act on its activist Samiulla Khan who won recently held urban local body polls in the state is an act with nefarious intention.
While charging the draconian law, the police alleged that the anti-national slogans were raised during the victory celebration on the counting day of the city municipal council polls.
“The Shajapur district administration has imposed NSA on the SDPI councillor for the fictitious reasons on the behest of VHP members,” read a statement by SDPI.
“This allegation of anti-national slogans was made after 5 days of the event. The video footage of the event have no witnesses of such happenings. However the police claim that the VHP members produced a video clip alleging anti-national slogans which is deliberately concocted by them. Surprisingly, the police acted to the tunes of conspirators without sending the video clip to the forensic lab to check the reliability of the same,” read the party’s statement.
SDPI national secretary Abdul Sathar said that the police have registered FIR against the newly won councillor for convening without police permission. However, according to Sathar, it is ridiculous as the councillor or his followers didn’t the convene the rally
Sathar who alleged that the BJP government and police are hand in gloves in conspiring to oppress minorities through imposing draconian acts, said that his part will legally fight to get justice for Samiulla Khan.
