Bomb thrown outside mosque in Odisha, three injured

At least three Muslim men were injured in a bomb blast near a mosque in Odisha’s Sambalpur on Tuesday evening.

According to OMMCOM news, unidentified individuals threw the bomb from the overbridge and fled the spot. The bomb was thrown outside Sadar Mosque in Pir Baba Square in Sambalpur after Maghrib prayer.

“Two persons suffered minor injuries. They are out of danger. Hand bombs were used in the explosion. Now, the situation is under control,” SP Mukesh Bhamu said to OMMCOM news.

“Investigation is underway. The culprits will be nabbed soon,” he added.

According to The Observer Post, the injured men were riding a motorbike.

TOP also reported that the bomb was in a box that allegedly bore the name of an Instagram handle “sbp mafia gang” with a bio that reads “Jay Shree Ram, Jay BJP.”
