MP, Rajasthan, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram to vote from November 7 to 30, results on December 3

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the timetable for the upcoming Legislative Assembly Elections in five states: Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan, and Telangana on Monday.

Approximately 16.1 crore people will cast their votes in this round of elections in five states, which are widely seen as ‘semi-finals’ because they take place just months before the 2024 Lok Sabha election.

Chhattisgarh’s election will be conducted in two phases, with the first phase scheduled for November 7 and the second phase on November 17. The state comprises 90 assembly constituencies and has a total of approximately two crore electors. 

Mizoram’s election is scheduled for November 7, involving 40 assembly constituencies and approximately 8.52 lakh electors. 

Madhya Pradesh is slated for elections on November 17, comprising 230 assembly constituencies and a total of approximately 5.6 crore eligible voters. 

Rajasthan is set for elections on November 23, encompassing 200 assembly constituencies and a total of approximately 5.25 crore electors.

Telangana’s election is set for November 30, encompassing 119 assembly constituencies and approximately 3.17 crore electors.

Counting for all states will take place on December 3.
