Scientist Nambi Narayanan, veteran filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan to attend Hindutva event in Kerala

Adoor Gopalakrishnan, regarded as one of the most notable filmmakers in India, and aerospace and cryogenic scientist Nambi Narayanan is likely to attend a pro Hindutva event “Hindu Conclave 2023”organised by Kerala Hindus of North America.

Kerala governor Arif Muhammed Khan and many senior RSS and BJP leaders including Union Minister V Muraleedharan, Kummanam Rajashekharan and Hindu Aikya Vedi president and hate speech peddler K P Sasikala are the chief guests of the conclave, according to organisers.

“We are planning to hold a Hindu Conclave on the 28th of January 2023 at the Mascot Hotel, in Trivandrum. Eminent personalities from diverse fields are expected to participate in the seminars and discussions on various topics planned. There will be Leadership Conference of the World Hindu Parliament and Business Meet by both NRIs and Resident Indians,” read the poster of the event.

The organiser’s announcement of Adoor’s presence in the event comes days after the award winning director was accused of casteist remarks against the cleaning staffs in K. R. Narayanan National Institute of Visual Science and Arts in Kerala. The staffs and students were protesting caste-based discrimination against KRNIVSA director Shankar Mohan. Adoor Gopalakrishnan is also the chairperson of KRNIVSA.
