Muslim world rejects anti-Muslim prejudice in India over coronavirus spread

The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) expresses deep concern following recent media accounts of rising anti-Muslim sentiments and Islamophobia within political and media circles and on mainstream and social media platforms, where Indian Muslim minority is blamed of spreading the coronavirus in the country.

The recent upheavals of protests against Trump’s recognition across the world sustain the vigor of resistance and liberation of Palestine. As Hamid Dabashi argues “irrespective of being Muslim, for Palestinians at large, Haram al-Sharif (Al Aqsa) is also the symbolic summation of their homeland”.

OIC declares East Jerusalem as Palestinian capital

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has declared East Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine, disagreed the US stance as dangerous and called on the international community to follow in its footsteps. The organization’s decision, reached during an extraordinary summit in Istanbul on Dec. 13, counters the U.S.’s recognition of Jerusalem as the “undivided” capital of Israel.
