Activist Saket Gokhale has moved the Allahabad High Court in a letter petition against the proposed narco analysis test to be conducted on the family of the 19-year-old Dalit woman who was raped and murdered by upper-caste Hindu men in Hathras.

Congress former chief Rahul Gandhi and General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi have been allowed by the Uttar Pradesh government, along with three others, to proceed to Hathras to meet the family of the 19-year-old Dalit woman who was murdered and raped by upper-caste Hindu men last week.

Opposition leaders, Dalit organizations, rights activists, students, and women groups came together at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar to protest against the gang-rape and murder of the 19-year-old Dalit woman by upper-caste Hindu men in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh.

Bhim Army Chief and Dalit leader Chandrashekhar Azad gave a call to assemble at Jantar Mantar at 5 pm on Friday from where they would start marching towards India Gate.

During this distressing time, more than 20 Ambedkarite organizations who work outside India are seething with rage, pain and sadness at the brutal caste hate crime against a 19 year old Dalit woman in Hathras who was raped and murdered by upper-caste Hindu men.

Congress former chief Rahul Gandhi and current General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra who were heading to Hathras, were stopped by authorities on Yamuna Expressway. They were on their way to meet the family of the 19-year-old Dalit woman who died after being gang-raped by four upper-caste Hindu men.
