On Tuesday, UK’s Prime Minister – Boris Johnson, survived no-confidence vote with a slim margin. Johnson called it “good news” and a “decisive result”.

Furthermore, according to CNN, 148 of the PM’s own MPs voted against him, while 211 MPs supported the PM.

Boris Johnson’s own 54 MPs called the no-confidence vote against the Prime Minister and sought his removal. The members of the PM’s own party and opposition sought resignation as Boris Johnson was accused of violating his own government’s covid lockdown rules.

Johnson allegedly invited and attended gatherings at the government offices. Therefore, the rivals and critics of Johnson deemed the entire fiasco as ‘partygate’.

The PM stated, “British Prime Minister Boris Johnson survives no-confidence vote, calls win ‘decisive’ result which enables us to move on to unite.”

Johnson further added, “What it means is that as a government, we can move on and focus on the stuff that really matters to the people.” The result gives us an opportunity to put behind everything that media like going on about, British PM also said.

As per CNN’s report, Boris Johnson faced a worse result than former PM Theresa May, who had the support of 63% of her MPs, while Johnson only had 58.6% in 2018.
