Zelenskyy estimates 2,500-3,000 Ukrainian soldiers killed in war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has told CNN that between 2,500 and 3,000 Ukrainian soldiers are estimated to have died in the war so far.

He says about 10,000 have been wounded and it is “hard to say how many will survive”.

Zelenskyy said Russia was thought to have lost between 19,000 and 20,000 troops, although the Kremlin has put the figure at 1,351.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appealed to US President Joe Biden to designate Russia a “state sponsor of terrorism.”
