UGC NET result: 47,157 qualify NET, 6171 for JRF, 4936 qualify for SC, OBC, minority fellowships

A total of 47,157 candidates have qualified the UGC’s National Eligibility Test (NET) exam, according to data by the exam conducting body, National Testing Agency.

“As per the UGC policy, 6% of those candidates who appear in both the papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of both the papers are declared NET qualified,” an official notice by NTA reads.

6171 candidates qualified for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF).

A total of 36138 candidates had appeared for JRF and Assistant Professor and qualified for Assistant Professor only have qualified for award of following National Fellowship:

4029 candidates have qualified for National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste Students (NFSC)

431 students qualified for National Fellowship for Other Backward Classes (NFOBC).

475 candidates have qualified for Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students.

According to the exam conducting body, a total of 860976 candidates had registered for the exam and 526707 candidates had appeared for it.
