Israeli forces storm Al-Aqsa Mosque

This is a developing story

Israeli forces again stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Monday morning, with violent crackdown Palestinian on worshippers, wounding hundreds.

The Director of Jerusalem’s Endowments Department has told Al Jazeera Arabic that Israeli forces have confiscated the keys to all entrances to the Al-Aqsa Mosque complex.

The latest violence comes as occupied East Jerusalem braces for a planned Jewish nationalist march through the city later on Monday

The annual Jerusalem Day Flag March marks the day East Jerusalem was occupied in 1967 and later annexed by Israel – in a move not recognised by the majority of the international community.

Six journalists suffered tear gas inhalation during their coverage of the Israeli raid on the Al Aqsa Mosque compound, Al Jazeera reports quoting local sources.

“More than 215 wounded in occupied J’lem, 153 of them hospitalized – four in critical condition,” Palestinian Red Crescent said in latest update.
