A 24-year-old migrant worker from Arunachal Pradesh was brutally beaten to death by a mob on Friday in Kerala’s Ernakulam district.
Ashokdas who was working at a restaurant at Valakom, was brutally attacked by a group of at least ten people late on Thursday evening when he went to visit a woman colleague. He succumbed to the serious injuries the following day.
the mob tied Ashokdas to an iron post on the roadside and brutally assaulted him, the police said.
When the police reached the spot, Ashokdas was found bleeding heavily. He had sustained wounds on the chest and head. They took him to a nearby hospital and later to the Government Medical College in Kottayam where he died on Friday.
Ten people have been taken into custody in connection with the murder. The arrestees are Vijeesh, Sathyan, Anish, Suraj, Keshav, Elias K Paul, Amal, Atul Krishna, Sanal and Emil, all natives of Vaikkom.
