Asharudheen Palode, a 24-year-old leader of the Muslim Students Federation (MSF) at Jamia Millia Islamia, passed away on Sunday morning at Holy Family Hospital in New Delhi after being admitted for fever.
Hailing from Kerala’s Palakkad district, Asharudheen was an active student leader holding positions such as Delhi state committee treasurer of MSF, national executive committee member of Samastha Kerala Sunni Students Federation (SKSSF), and secretary of Kerala Muslim Cultural Centre (KMCC) Delhi chapter.
His recent participation in the fourth anniversary protest of the historic anti-CAA movement at Jamia Millia Islamia, just 10 days prior, was remembered by the students of Jamia.
Asharudheen who led numerous charity and relief efforts in Delhi, was also former president of Jamia Millia MSF unit.
Many students from Jamia Millia expressed their grief on social media.
