CBI reaches Lalu Yadav’s home day after it questioned Rabri Devi

A day after the Central Bureau of Investigation questioned former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi at her home in Patna in connection with an alleged land-for-jobs scam, the agency is questioning veteran socialist politician and RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav in the same case.

The probe agency today reached Misa Bharti’s Pandara Road house to question former Bihar CM and union minister Lalu Prasad Yadav.

Lalu Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya in a tweet said he is being harassed, and warned that she “wouldn’t spare anyone” if something happens to him.

“Papa is constantly being harassed. I will not spare anyone if anything happens to him,” she said.

“It is not right that you are troubling my father. All this will be remembered. Time is powerful, it has great power. This has to be remembered,” she tweeted in Hindi.

The CBI case, which names Lalu and Rabri and their daughters Misa and Hema, among others, is based on accusations that Lalu and his family members bought land at cheap rates in exchange for jobs during his tenure as Union Railway Minister from 2004 to 2009.

The FIR is registered in May 2022.

Rabri Devi last week said the BJP is scared of Lau Yadav. “BJP is scared of Lalu Yadav in Bihar.”
