As governments across India witness a staggering spike in coronavirus caseload, Disha Ravi, a Bengaluru-based climate activist who was arrested by Delhi police in connection with a farmers’ protest toolkit, has shared a nationwide covid resource document.

“This document primarily includes a list of verified contacts, websites and organizations to access hospital beds, covid medication, plasma donors, oxygen cylinders and meal deliveries in various cities”, reads the document introduction. The document is not affiliated with any group or has a contact.

Ravi has been active on social media to amplify and share distress messages coming from across India due to the grim situation. Ravi is an active volunteer of Fridays For Future, a campaign launched by Greta Thunberg to fight climate change.

Many have shifted their hopes to social media for arranging and sourcing medicine and hospital facilities as governments run shorthanded.

The 21-year-old was arrested on charges of sedition for allegedly creating a “toolkit” to aid Indian farmers who are part of an ongoing protest movement opposing India’s new agricultural policy proposals. She was later granted bail by a court in Delhi.
