No TISS NET in 2024, admission to PG courses through CUET PG, CAT only

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) has announced that it will use the Common University Entrance Test Postgraduate (CUET PG) for admission to all its PG programmes for the 2024-25 academic session.

However, for Master of Arts in Human Resource Management and Labour Relations and Master of Arts in Organisation Development, Change and Leadership, TISS will use the Common Admission Test (CAT) scores.

Previously, the institute used to conduct the TISS NET exam at national level for admitting students to Masters (Master of Arts, Master of Science and BEd-MEd integrated) programmes.

The institute said it took the decision in compliance with the mandate of the Ministry of Education and University Grants Commission to conduct CUET for admission to postgraduate programmes in central, state, and other participating universities.

The institute mentioned that the CUET PG exam provides a single-window opportunity to all postgraduate aspirants.

“The CUET (PG) provides a single- window opportunity for all Postgraduate students seeking admission to any of the Central Universities (CUs) or other participating organisations, including State Universities, Deemed to be Universities, and Private Universities across the country,” said TISS registrar in an official notice.
