A landlord allegedly killed his tenant, a PhD scholar named Ankit Khokhar and chopped his body into three pieces using a saw and abandoned at different places in a canal in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad.
“All this to embezzle money to the tune more than a crore that the victim had in his account as proceeds of land sale,” tweeting about the incident, Uttar Pradesh based journalist Piyush Rai tweeted.
Khokhar was murdered on 6 October, Rai tweeted.
The journalist also said that a missing report was lodged more than two months later at Modinagar Police Station on 12 December when Ankit’s friend suspected foulplay after he didn’t respond to multiple call and messages.
