On October 23, dozens of pro-Palestinian protesters were detained by Delhi Police for attempting to gather outside the Israeli embassy calling for an end to massacres in Gaza. Student activists were chased and manhandled by cops.
Police told Maktoob there was no permission to hold any demonstration in the “high-security” area.
The Students Federation of India (SFI) and other leftist student groups organised the protest.
