Members of the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) and other left groups organized a pro-Palestine demonstration near the Israeli embassy in Delhi on Monday.
More than 200 protesters gathered outside the embassy, displaying placards with the message “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.”
The protesters sloganeered against the ongoing Israeli aggression against Palestinians.
Police detained many of the protesters at APJ Abdul Kalam road, with officers seen chasing and removing them from the scene. The demonstrators waved flags in support of the pro-Palestine rally.
The detained protesters were taken to the Jaffarpur Police Station, as reported by one of the detainees to Maktoob.
