Farmers are re-modelling their dwellings on the roads - bringing in straw huts, making walls from nets, fans and water coolers are reaching. The media never asked why has the government not provided toilets.

Farmers who have been protesting for months against the Narendra Modi's new agricultural laws blocked a major highway outside New Delhi on Saturday to mark the 100th day of the ongoing agitation.

Shiv Kumar, a Dalit labour-rights activist and president of the Mazdoor Adhikar Sangathan, faced severe custodial torture at the hands of the Haryana Police, his father Rajbir said to Maktoob.

Rakesh Tikait, , one of the faces of ongoing farmers’ agitation against Narendra Modi government’s new farm laws, will be touring five states in March to drum up support for the agitation.

"This time the call will be for parliament gherao. We will announce it and then march towards Delhi. This time 40 lakh tractors will be there instead of four lakh tractors," Tikait told protesters.

Disha Ravi, the 22-year-old climate activist was granted bail by a Delhi Sessions Court on Tuesday afternoon - subject to provision of two sureties of Rs 1 lakh each in connection with the "toolkit" case.
