In a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Justice of India justice N. V. Ramana, five former chiefs of staff of the armed forces and over a hundred other people including veterans, bureaucrats, and prominent citizens have expressed their anger on "open call of the genocide of Indian Muslims" by Hindu monks and Hindutva leaders at various events, most recently in Uttarakhand's Haridwar and Delhi.

Responding to the recent genocidal calls by Hindu monks and Hindutva leaders against Muslims, Actor Naseeruddin Shah has said that "it is starting from the very top where Aurangzeb is being invoked."

Days after Hindu monks and Hindutva leaders in Haridwar called for genocide against Muslims, the Hindu monks who delivered hate speeches against Muslims now formed a core committee of 21 for armed struggle against Muslims.

Unfortunately, Muslims in India are left to themselves with false claims of the secularists and honest convictions of the Hindu militants.

Bharatiya Janata Party governments at Union and State are complicit in the call for Muslim genocide by Hindutva leaders and Hindu monks in the latest event in Haridwar, alleged AIMIM chief and Hyderabad MP Asauddin Owaisi.

Several Hindutva leaders, who addressed a 3-day Hindu Parliament 'Dharam Sansad' in Uttarakhand's Haridwar, called for "war against Muslims" and urged "Hindus to take up weapons" to ensure a Muslim "didn’t become the Prime Minister in 2029."
