64 employees of UN agency for Palestinian refugees killed in Gaza

Sixty-four employees of the UN agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) have been killed in the Gaza Strip so far, an UNRWA official says.

Director of Communications Juliette Touma made the statement on X, while announcing the latest death of a staff, together with his family.

“@UNRWA will never be the same without them RIP,” she said.

“Amid unimaginable pain, our team continues to serve those in need despite serious risk to their own lives,” earlier UNRWA wrote on X.

“This unfathomable, continuous suffering that unfolds each day must stop now,” it urged.
