Five aid workers, including four foreigners, killed in Israeli attack

At least four foreign aid workers and a Palestinian associated with World Central Kitchen were killed in an Israel attack in the city of Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip on Tuesday. Israeli military hit the car the aid workers were travelling in.

A spokesman from Gaza’s media office has confirmed that among the five aid workers who were killed in an Israeli air attack in Deir el-Balah are a UK national, an Australian and a Polish national.

The Israeli military has released a statement that said they will have “a thorough review at the highest levels to understand the circumstances of this tragic incident”.

“We are aware of reports that members of the World Central Kitchen team have been killed in an IDF attack while working to support our humanitarian food delivery efforts in Gaza. This is a tragedy. Humanitarian aid workers and civilians should NEVER be a target. EVER,” World Central Kitchen wrote on X.
