Four-year-old girl rescued from rubble in Turkey 33 hours after quake

A four-year-old girl Gul Inal has been rescued from the rubble of a collapsed building 33 hours after a magnitude 7.8 earthquake hit southern Turkey.

Gul Inal was removed from the first floor of the three-story building in Hatay province.

Footage showed the joy of Gul’s relatives when she was pulled from the rubble and handed to medical teams.

Turkish President Erdogan declares a state of emergency in 10 provinces as rescuers continue to dig through the rubble in a race to find survivors in the deadly quake that hit Turkey and neighbouring Syria on Monday.

Meanwhile Earthquake death toll has passed 6000.

The death toll has climbed to 4,544 in Turkey, according to the country’s Disaster and Emergency Management Agency (AFAD). The number of those killed in Syria is close to 1,832: More than 1,020 people have been killed in opposition-held areas, according to the White Helmets.
