Israeli forces raid Tulkarm city – killing five Palestinians including resistance commander

During an overnight raid on the Nour Shams camp in Tulkarm, in the occupied West Bank, Israeli troops shot and murdered at least five Palestinians, including the leader of the Tulkarm Brigade Resistance group.

According to the official Resistance News Network (RNN), Mohammed Jaber, also known as Abu Shujaa, was assassinated by Israeli occupation forces on Friday. He has escaped an assassination attempt by Palestinian Authority troops a few weeks ago.

As to The Times of Israel, four Israeli soldiers sustained injuries during the attack.

Early on Thursday and until late Friday, Israeli forces assaulted the camp using two bulldozers, one of which was a D9.

During the operation, several Palestinians suffered injuries.

Internet videos that went viral showed Israeli bulldozers destroying roadways and military vehicles running into explosives in the camp.

Quds News Network (QNN) reported that the raid claimed the lives of at least five Palestinians.

The official Palestinian news agency WAFA stated, citing insider information, that four young men who were seeking shelter inside a house in the camp’s Al-Ayadeh locality were killed by a special Israeli military unit during a raid.

The 16-year-old Qais Fathi Nasrallah was shot and killed by Israeli soldiers during the military onslaught, according to a report from the Ministry of Health.

According to WAFA’s correspondent, Nasrallah was hit in the head by live ammunition while crossing the street north of the camp that leads to the Sheweikeh neighbourhood.

According to WAFA, the bodies are being held by Israeli forces, who are also impeding paramedics from getting to them.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society stated on X that the ambulances were prevented by Israeli forces from reaching the dead and wounded. One of its paramedics was hit by live ammunition from Israeli forces who targeted him while he was on duty in the camp.

“The occupation forces still prevent the ambulance from reaching him to transfer him to the hospital,” the PRCS said on X.

Israeli soldiers also sealed off the entrances to the camp with mounds of earth and targeted electricity poles and wires along the main Nablus Street adjacent to the camp, causing power outages in parts of the area.

Scores of Israeli soldiers raided several homes in the town and interrogated the residents. At least six Palestinians were arrested, according to WAFA.

Soldiers also fired at several journalists who were covering the raid, the report said.

Jenin Brigade retaliated against the Israeli assassination of the commander Mohammad Jaber (Abu Shujaa), at the Nur Shams refugee camp in the occupied West Bank.

In a brief statement, the Jenin Brigade said that its Resistance fighters targeted the Israeli “Salem” camp in response to the assassination of Jaber.

This comes as the Tulkarm Brigade confirmed that its Resistance fighters continue to confront and target the raiding Israeli occupation forces with heavy gunfire and explosive devices.
