10 year old boy scores ‘zero angle’ goal, video of strike goes viral

In a viral video, a grade 5 boy from Kerala, Danish P.K. scored a sensational corner-kick goal for Kerala Football Training Centre Club (KFTCC).

Brought to social media attention by former Indian captain, IM Vijayan’s tweet, the sensational goal has earned Danish the nickname of ‘Lionel’. In the video, Danish could be seen curving the ball directly into the net out of the reach of the opponent’s team goalkeeper.

The video of him scoring the goal was originally posted by his mother Novia Ashraf on Facebook on Sunday.

The boy scored the ‘zero-angle’ goal in the final of the All Kerala Kids Football Tournament that was being conducted in the town of Meenangadi, Wayanad district.

The ten year old boy was also awarded Player of the Tournament trophy after having scored 13 goals in the competition.

Danish’s father, Abu Hashim told Indian Express that his son had been playing football from a young age. Abu Hashim further added that Danish’s favourite club is Barcelona and his favorite player is Lionel Messi.
