Manchester City crowned 2020-21 Premier League champions

“Manchester City have been crowned 2020-21 Premier League champions, our third title success in the last four years,” the club announced on Tuesday.

Manchester United’s defeat to Leicester on Tuesday means Manchester City now have an unassailable lead after 35 games.

“It is Guardiola’s 10th major honour since taking charge at City in 2016, and it comes a week after we booked our place in the UEFA Champions League final at the end of the month with a 4-1 aggregate victory over Paris Saint-Germain,” the club said in a official statement.

“This has been a season and a Premier League title like no other. This was the hardest one,” said The City manager Pep Guardiola.

The result at Old Trafford leaves United with 70 points from 35 matches, 10 behind City with three games left to play in the 2020-2021 campaign.
