Sunrisers shine bright as Royal Challengers fall short by 25 runs in thrilling showdown

Sunrisers Hyderabad broke their own record for the highest IPL total with a sensational 287 for three against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

In a stunning display of cricket prowess, Australian batter Travis Head dazzled with a century, complemented by his skipper Pat Cummins’ three-wicket haul, leading Sunrisers Hyderabad to a thrilling 25-run victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Their performance, highlighted by Head’s exceptional innings, propelled Sunrisers to their highest-ever IPL total, surpassing their previous record of 277 for three against Mumbai Indians on March 27.

Cummins, in a captain’s performance, claimed figures of 3/43, with spinner Mayank Markande also contributing with 2/46, effectively restraining RCB’s chase despite Dinesh Karthik’s heroic 83 off 35 balls.

The IPL 2024 season is witnessing unprecedented hitting from teams that are pushing the team scores consistently past 200.
