The Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) of Kerala Police arrested Danish (30), who hails from Coimbatore, while he was coming out of the central prison in Thrissur after obtaining bail in 11 UAPA cases against him for alleged Maoist links, again under UAPA.

The Court noted the mere possession of books on Communist ideology, Maoism, class struggle, etc., does not prove anything adverse against the accused.
