JNU Students union vice president Shehla Rashid wrote on her facebook wall.

‘No punishment for Dadri lynching. No punishment for Bhagana rapes. No punishment for parading Dalit women naked. No punishment for Dalit massacres in Bathe, Bathani. No punishment for burning down entire villages of Dalits. But 25 HCU students & 2 faculty members have been arrested and sent to judicial custody because they fought for the rights of Dalits. One student, Uday Bhanu is in ICU because he committed the crime of cooking in the open!! Food, water and Internet has been cut-off and students are struggling to survive! But what they can’t cut-off is the outpouring of solidarity. We marched yesterday in support of HCU. We will march again. Release all HCU students and faculty unconditionally. Revoke cases on all students. Remove murderer Appa Rao. We love drenching ourselves in colors, but just not today. Today, for HCU, for Rohith, for Uday, for the arrested comrades.’
