In a significant breakthrough, rescue teams have successfully penetrated the debris and laid pipes to evacuate 41 workers trapped for 17 days inside the collapsed tunnel in Uttarakhand’s Silkyara.
The collaborative effort involves the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), medical personnel, and ambulances actively engaged in the rescue operation.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami met the workers who have been rescued along with Union Minister of State General (Retd) VK Singh.
According to sources, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to go to the hospital to meet the workers.
