Delhi court sends CM Arvind Kejriwal to jail till April 15

A Delhi Court on Monday remanded Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to judicial custody till April 15 in the money laundering case related to the alleged liquor policy scam case. He was arrested on the night of March 21.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had asked for fifteen days of judicial custody of custody of Kejriwal, citing his ‘non-cooperative behaviour’.

“Kejriwal has been non cooperative… he didn’t give us his passwords,” said ED counsel SV Raju.

Kejriwal has been governing Delhi from jail with his wife Sunita Kejriwal passing his orders to his Cabinet colleagues.

Meanwhile, Arvind Kejriwal’s counsel moved an application to allow Kejriwal to read three books – Bhagvad Geeta, Ramayan and How Prime Ministers Decide.

While entering the courtroom, the Delhi CM told reporters, “What PM Modi is doing is not good for the country.”
