Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge said even the BJP claimed to build a Congress-mukt Bharat, this win has managed to make a BJP-mukt Dakshin Bharat.
“We had said everyone repeatedly that Congress would get elected by a huge margin in Karnataka. We have achieved a big victory. This has enthused the nation,” he said.
“BJP had taunted us saying the doors of Congress party were closed and they would make Congress-mukt Bharath. But, the truth today is ‘BJP-mukt Dakshin Bharat’.” Kharge added.
“We have to remember that we have won by a large majority. We won by collective leadership. We won by such a huge margin due to unity, or Congress would have suffered the same fate as it did in 2018,” he added.
Kharge went on to say, “We have won the battle. But, we have to win the war. That’s why, you all should be united like this. Then only will we win war. If we win the war then the country will be saved. Otherwise, one state will be more powerful. But, if you want a fair, and democratic government everywhere, then we have to fight the bigger battle, bigger war in the coming elections.”
“This is a win against corruption, this is a win against 40 per cent commission, this is a win against inflation… this is a win of Congress guarantees.” Kharge said
