Israel is a terrorist state, says Turkey’s Erdogan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called Israel a “terror state” that is committing war crimes and violating international law in Gaza.

“I clearly say here: Israel is a terrorist state,” he said.

Speaking to lawmakers in parliament on Wednesday, Erdogan repeated his view that Hamas is not a “terrorist organisation” but a political entity elected by the Palestinian people.

Erdogan also called on Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to announce whether Israel has nuclear weapons.

“Your (Israel) end is nigh, anyway, whether you have nuclear weapons or not,” he said.

The Turkish leader added that his country will be working on the international stage to ensure Israeli settlers are recognised as “terrorists” during increasing violence in the occupied West Bank.

More than 11,300 Palestinians have been killed in Israeli strikes on Gaza since October 7 as Israeli forces raid al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, the largest medical complex in the Strip, where thousands have taken shelter.
