Gaza’s government media office stated that the death toll from Israeli attacks includes around 7,870 children and 6,121 women, with the Health Ministry reporting a total of at least 17,487 Palestinians killed in Gaza since 7 October.

At least 7,780 are still missing, mostly under the rubble, the media office said, adding that there are more than 46,000 people injured.

It said the “war on hospitals and the Strip’s medical facilities is ongoing and does not stop.”

The office also decried the detention of “dozens of Palestinians” in the Beit Lahia area in northern Gaza by Israeli forces.

The small amounts of aid that have been entering the enclave include “fabric, coronavirus tests, and some bottles of water”, which do not live up to the needs of civilians who need food, medicine, and other vital supplies, the media office said.

The office also called on UNRWA to carry out its duties in northern Gaza and Gaza City.

It called for the complete opening of the Rafah border crossing and for the flow of aid, including the entry of 1,000 trucks per day, as well as fuel.
