Thousands in Israel rallied outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence as anger mounted over corruption allegations and PM’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis.
According to Jerusalem Post, protesters were heard shouting “Bibi Go home!” and “we’re sick of corruption!”
“Your time is up”, read the giant letters projected on to a building at the protest site.
Thousands waved Israeli flags and called on Netanyahu to resign.
“This is the seventh week in a row that civilians across Israel join the protests against Netanyahu, calling on him to pack his bags and resign after his utter failure in handling the health crisis,” a statement by the Black Flags movement read.
“Instead of preventing a second wave, Netanyahu has been dealing with tax deductions for his family and for himself,” the statement reads.
